John R. Lewis Scholars Imhotep (LSI) Project Application 2024
The LSI Project is an eleven-week summer internship designed to increase the knowledge and skills of student trainees in bio-statistics, epidemiology, and occupational safety and health. The program begins with two weeks of intense educational training. During the following eight weeks, interns conduct public health research with experts at community-based organizations, state and federal public health agencies.
Program Eligibility
Current junior, senior, or recent graduate (within one year) of an undergraduate institution
Cumulative GPA of
2.7 or higher
Have not participated in any other CDC Undergraduate Public Health Scholars Programs (CUPS) in the past
US Citizen or Permanent Resident currently residing in the U.S
